Delete Account

This page lets you permanently delete your DuoAccent account and the data associated with it. You can delete your account right here on the web by signing in and confirming, or from inside the DuoAccent mobile app. There is no charge, and you do not need the app installed to use this page.

Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

1. Delete your account

Sign in with the same method you use in the app (Google, Apple, or your email and password), then confirm. We verify it's really you before anything is deleted.

2. What gets deleted

When you delete your account, we permanently remove:

  • Your login and profile: your email, name, native language, professional role, learning goals, and preferences.
  • Your learning data: accent scores, practice and drill history, XP, streaks, achievements, bookmarks, sound mastery, and diagnostics.
  • Your audio: any voice recordings and demo audio stored for your account.
  • Your account records: push-notification tokens, streak data, and subscription records.
  • Your web subscription: any active subscription billed through our web checkout (Dodo Payments) is cancelled automatically.

3. What we keep, and for how long

  • Anonymized, aggregated data that cannot be used to identify you may be retained to improve our scoring models.
  • Records we're legally required to keep (for example, for fraud prevention or resolving disputes) are retained only as long as the law requires.
  • Residual copies in backups are purged within 30 days, consistent with our Privacy Policy.

Important — store subscriptions: if you subscribed through the Apple App Store or Google Play, that subscription is billed by Apple or Google and is not cancelled by deleting your account. Cancel it in your Apple or Google account settings to stop future charges.

4. Delete from inside the app

You can also delete your account directly in the DuoAccent app: go to Profile → Settings → Delete Account and confirm. This performs the exact same permanent deletion described above.

5. Lost access or need help

If you can't sign in — for example you've lost access to your email or sign-in method — email us from the address associated with your account and we'll delete it for you:
